Bird Conservation Alliance Workshops
The Bird Conservation Alliance is offering bird conservation
workshops for leaders and members of bird clubs and bird conservation
organizations. These unique workshops will provide participants
with a thorough examination of each topic
and access to the appropriate support tools.
These workshops will serve as comprehensive training geared
toward the needs of the participants. Workshops are designed
for organizations that desire additional information about
volunteer acquisition and retention, how to manage relationships
with the media, supporting conservation efforts throughout
the Americas, participating in American Bird Conservancy's
Cats Indoors! Campaign, and receiving updates and
information about important conservation issues. For
the full list of workshop topics, click here.
Workshops can be held at the location of your choosing and
any number of your organization's staff/members may attend.
Each organization is responsible for arranging all meeting
logistics and any fees associated with the meeting space.
The only fees charged by the BCA for presenting the workshops
are to cover the presenter's travel, lodging, and meal expenses.
Organizations may join together to host a workshop and so
share in these fees. To attend a workshop, an organization
must be a member of the Bird Conservation Alliance. Membership
fees for eligible organizations are $50 for local, $100 for
state/regional and $100 for National/International. The workshops
will usually be presented by Alicia Craig, Director of the
BCA.
Please note: Workshop fees cover one organization’s
membership into the Bird Conservation Alliance and as many
workshop participants as the organization wishes to enroll
for the chosen workshop sessions. Travel fees for the workshop
vary depending on travel expenses and distance traveled.
