We, the undersigned Bird Conservation Alliance[i] members, believe the Neotropical Migratory Bird Conservation Act (NMBCA) has a proven record of conserving America’s native migratory birds, and therefore the authorization levels for this important program merits an increase. We strongly support the bipartisan bills S.690 and H.R. 2213, introduced by Senators Ben Cardin and Mike Crapo, and Representatives Ron Kind and Jim Gerlach, that seek to reauthorize the NMBCA at $20 million by 2015, and urge Congress to quickly pass these crucial bills.
