Cats Indoors! Resolution

believe:

Outdoor cats suffer unnecessarily and are a threat to birds and other wildlife.

Outdoor cats kill hundreds of millions of birds and small mammals each year, including endangered and threatened species. 

We, ___________________________, therefore resolve the following:

To support Cats Indoors! The Campaign for Safer Birds and Cats, initiated by American Bird Conservancy (ABC) to end the unnecessary suffering and death of birds and other wildlife caused by free-roaming domestic cats.

To actively support the efforts of the Cats Indoors! Campaign in seeking to educate cat owners, decision makers and the general public that free-roaming cats pose a significant risk to birds and other wildlife, suffer themselves, and pose a threat to human health.

To also actively support the Cats Indoors! Campaign to encourage cat owners to keep their cats indoors and to advocate laws, regulations, and policies to protect cats and birds, including the humane removal of free-roaming cats from areas important to wildlife.

Be it resolved that the support shall be:
In the form of articles in our publications, information on our web page, distribution of Campaign materials to the public, letters to the editor and letters to decision makers about the need to create and/or enact laws that protect birds and other wildlife from free-roaming cats.
